Halifax’s 1% cashback credit card gives cardholders a little win, often, on almost every purchase, almost everywhere in the world.
The brief
To launch the bank’s new 1% cashback credit card to new and existing customers.
The insight
A tough sell, considering other cashback offerings from competitors and a monthly card fee. Tougher still considering the self-serve nature of shopping for a credit card.
The solution
We used Halifax’s real and honest voice to its greatest effect, creating a campaign concept that rang true with authenticity and appeal in a cynical market place.
Rather than overstate, we chose to convey that inner satisfaction from small wins on an everyday basis. We created a series that spoke volumes, with eye-catching headlines and relatable purchase scenarios – from refreshing snacks and jaunty hats to beds for cats.
Being a series, with room for bespoke headlines, meant we could adapt the ads for ultimate contextual flexibility.
